Current and new Lakemont resident parents should soon be gearing up their young scholars for the 2009-2010 school year at Lamar Consolidated Independents School District. We hope to bring you a central source for your Lamar CISD "back to school" needs.
New Residents: Enrollment

If your child was not previously enrolled in a Lamar CISD school, that should be the first item on your list. To enroll your child:

• Determine which school he/she will attend. Lakemont students attend McNeill Elementary, Wertheimer Middle School (6th grade), Briscoe Junior High (7th & 8th grade), and Foster High School.
• Register your child at LCISD.org  by completing the online pre-registration. Then, elementary schools open August 3rd and Secondary Schools open August 6th for registration in person. You will need to bring: proof of residence, school records, the child's Social Security card, immunization records, and a certified birth certificate. If you do not have all records on hand, you can submit them for 30 days after enrollment.
• Check with Lamar's Transportation Department. You can click the Find My School icon at LCISD.org  to see if your child qualifies for bus transportation.
