Labor Day Fun With Remote Controlled Planes In Fort Bend

Remote controlled airplane enthusiasts and those with curious children in the Fort Bend area can visit a great show this weekend! The Fort Bend Radio Control Club is hosting its 12th Annual Radio-Controlled Model Air Show this Labor Day.

On Monday, September 7th, the event will run from 9am to 2pm on the West side of Fort Bend County Fairgrounds in Rosenberg.  Just look for the Fort Bend Radio Control Club's flying field. The event will benefit for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The Labor Day event will include a mini air show around noon to 1pm. Aspiring, beginning pilots can take part in a flight training program, as well.  The club members will also give demonstrations of jet turbine powered planes, aerobatic planes, and the flying lawn mower.

With a $5 donation to Muscular Dystrophy, visitors can take a 5 minute flying lesson with an instructor. All proceeds for the event, also known as the 'Muscular Dystrophy Fly-a-Thon', will go to Jerry's Kids. Food and drinks will also be available.
