The Lamar Consolidated Independent School District 2010 Special Olympics Invitational is taking place Saturday, April 24th and the district is still in need of several volunteers for the special event.

More information on the details of the event will be released soon, but Lakemont residents have the immediate opportunity to step in as great helpers to a worthy cause. Aid is needed with:

• Athlete Escort
• Welcome Table
• Olympic Town
• Athlete “Buddy”
• Field Staging
• Field Awards
• Track Awards
• Starting Line, and more.

The event will take place at Traylor Stadium – Lamar Hish School and for volunteers that help all day, lunch will be provided. To receive your volunteer t-shirt, you must register by March 26th, so download the form  and follow the instructions to submit your information soon!
